Abstract:
A pigment composition, the material color chip thereof and the method for making
the same, are disclosed in the present invention. The pigment composition comprises
995-1005 parts in weight of film-forming binder; 2.85-3.05 parts in weight of
PY42 whose pigment content is 60%; 0.34-0.36 parts in weight of PR101 whose pigment
content is 65%; and 0.04 parts in weight of PBK7 whose pigment content is 9%. The
major components of the film-forming binder are acrylic copolymer and TiO2,
wherein the amount of acrylic copolymer is 30-40% and the amount of TiO2
is 8-12%. The TiO2 which is used as white pigment is ISO 591 R2 type, and
the purity≥95%, the oil absorption < 20 g/100 g, the lightening power
Reynold’s number is 1800. The contrast ratio of the film-forming binder
is 0.78-0.82, and the Stormer viscosity is 90-100KU. When the angle of incidence
is 85°, the glossiness is 5-10°. Both of the weathering resistance
and stability of the present composition are high and the fidelity of the formulation
is good. The material and the process used fulfill the requirements and the standards
of environment-protection on low VOC and non-VOC. Comparing to the standard
value of theoretical model in China Color System, the chromatic aberration
of the obtained material color chip is very little, and the accuracy degree for
color-realizing is perfect. Besides, the process is proficient and the practical
value is very high.
