Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pigment dispersion for ink-jet recording which comprises a binder (A), a pigment (B), and an aqueous medium (C), characterized in that the binder (A) comprises a urethane resin (A1), which is a product of reaction between polyols (a1), which comprise a polyol (a1-1) having an acid group and a polyester polyol (a1-2) that is not the polyol (a1-1), and one or more polyisocyanates (a2) including a polyisocyanate (a2-1) having a ring structure, that the urethane resin (A1) has acid groups, some or all of which have been neutralized, and that the urethane resin (A1) has a glass transition temperature of 70°C or lower.
