Abstract:
The problem that the present invention is to solve is to provide a pigment dispersion paste which has excellent storage stability and a coating composition which has satisfactory adhesion to base materials and has the excellent ability to hide the base materials. The invention provides a pigment dispersion paste which comprises a resin (a) for dispersing pigments, an aluminum pigment (b) having an average particle diameter of 20-150 nm and an average aspect ratio of 7 or lower, and an organic solvent, characterized in that the aluminum pigment (b) is contained in an amount of 5-100 pasts by mass per 100 parts by mass on solid basis of the resin (a) for dispersing pigments and that a 6 µm-thick dry coating film obtained by applying the pigment dispersion paste has a light transmittance at every wavelength in the 300-700 nm range of 0.1% or lower.
