Title:
PIGMENT-SENSITIZED PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/016569
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A pigment-sensitized photovoltaic cell (1) is provided with a photoelectrode (19), a counterelectrode (14), a sealing material (15), and an electrolyte layer (16). The photoelectrode (19) has a transparent substrate (11), a transparent conductive film (12) laminated on the surface of the transparent substrate (11) opposing the counterelectrode (14), and a porous oxide semiconductor layer (13) laminated on the surface of the transparent conductive film (12) opposing the counterelectrode (14). The sealing material (15) is placed between the outer peripheral edge part of the transparent conductive film (12) and the outer peripheral edge part of the counterelectrode (14), and the electrolyte layer (16) is filled inside the sealing material (15), which is between the transparent conductive film (12) and the counterelectrode (14). A plurality of insulating particles (17) are contained inside the electrolyte layer (16), and the plurality of insulating particles (17) are placed so as to prevent direct contact between the porous oxide semiconductor layer (13) and the counterelectrode (14). The average value of the particle diameter of the plurality of insulating particles (17) is 0.6-1.2 times the distance between the porous semiconductor layer (13) and the counterelectrode (14).
