Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pile fabric wherein the difference between the average length of a long pile section and the average length of a short pile section is 2mm or greater, the long pile section and the short pile section each include 60 wt% or more of crimped polyester fibers, the crimp removal temperature of the polyester fibers used in the long pile section is lower than the crimp removal temperature of the polyester fibers used in the short pile section, the crimp removal temperature of the polyester fibers used in the short pile section is greater than or equal to 90°C and less than or equal to 120°C, and this crimp removal temperature is the minimum temperature that satisfies a particular relationship. The present invention is thus able to provide a pile fabric that has a long pile section and a short pile section, is provided with a good external appearance, feeling of volume, and packing recovery property, and furthermore has a superior crimp removal property, as well as a manufacturing method therefor.
