Abstract:
This pin terminal comprises a stick-shaped substrate and a plated layer that covers a prescribed area of the substrate, wherein: the plated layer comprises a tin-based layer formed of a metal including tin; one end of the substrate includes a leading end covering part that covers a region of the substrate, the region fully extending in the peripheral direction; the tin-based layer includes the leading end covering part; the leading end covering part includes a thin film section and a thick film section at different locations in the peripheral direction of the substrate; and the material constituting the substrate is pure copper or a copper alloy having a Zn content of not more than 20 mass%.
