Abstract:
Provided is a pin tumbler lock, comprising a lock body (1), a key (8), a cylindrical plug (2) and at least two rows of pin sets. Each row of pin sets comprises at least two pin columns. Each pin column comprises a driver pin (3), a key pin (5) and a return spring (4) cooperating with the driver pin (3), and the at least two rows of pin sets positioned at the same cross-section of the plug are provided top to top. The return spring (4) comprises both a strong return spring and a weak return spring. When the key (8) is inserted into the plug (2) and the pin tumbler lock is in an unlocked state, at least one key pin (5) corresponding to the weak return spring in each row of pin sets is inserted into a notch of the key (8) and crosses a centre line (7) of the plug (2), and none of the key pins (5) corresponding to the strong return spring cross the centre line (7) of the plug (2).
