Title:
PINCUSHION FOR SEWING NEEDLES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/023973
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Sometimes sewing needles that are stuck in a pincushion become buried inside the pincushion and are not visible. There is a risk of sustaining bothersome pricks if the sewer touches the pincushion carelessly in such cases, so the objective is to avoid such risk. A support box (1) that is a protective case is configured comprising four transparent walls (2). A flat pincushion (4) is housed in the support box (1) at an intermediate height. The thickness of the flat pincushion (4) is selected so that the tips (5c, 5d) of sewing needles (5) pierce the pincushion (4) and are exposed protruding from bottom (4d) of the pincushion (4). The intermediate height of the pincushion (4) in the support box (1) is selected so that the tips (5c, 5d) of sewing needles (5) can be housed so as to be visible in a space (7) at the bottom of the support box that is formed below the pincushion (4).
