PIPE ELEMENT FOR USE IN BAMBOO-WRAPPED COMPOSITE PIPE

A pipe element for use in a bamboo-wrapped composite pipe. The pipe element is formed by splicing two or more pipe components, where each pipe component is formed by wrapping bamboo splints and a resin, a resin-impregnated glass fiber fabric is employed for wrapping and fixing where the two pipe components are spliced, and the pipe element is an elbow, a tee, or a reducer. The pipe element applicable in connecting the bamboo-wrapped composite pipe is designed on the basis of the structural characteristics of the bamboo-wrapped composite pipe, the pipe element is formed by splicing multiple pipe components, the multiple pipe components are manufactured by means of a bamboo wrapping process, and the resin-impregnated glass fiber fabric is employed for wrapping and fixing at the joints of the pipe components, thus the lap strength between the pipe components is further increased. The pipe element of the described structure produced by means of such design is capable of implementing reliable connection between bamboo-wrapped composite pipes, thus allowing same to be applicable in long-distance transport, reliably connected, and inexpensive.
