Abstract:
Provided is, inter alia, a wire rod and pipe-fastening body with which fastening is possible by a simple technique, with little decrease in strength at a crimped section. A pipe-fastening body (10) is obtained by fastening a wire rod (11) and a tubular member (12), wherein: the wire rod (11) has a recess (13) formed by plastically deforming a part of an outer peripheral section; the tubular member (12) has a deformed section (14) that is formed so as to enter the recess (13) by covering the wire rod (11) with the tubular member (12) and pressing and plastically deforming a portion of the tubular member (12) covering the recess (13) toward the recess (13) from the outer peripheral side; and a maximum displacement amount (d2) of the tubular member (12) when the deformed section (14) is formed is not more than a maximum displacement amount (d1) of the wire rod (11) due to the plastic deformation that occurred when the recess (13) was formed.
