Abstract:

In order to improve the reliability of sealing performance, a pipe fitting (Ja) is equipped with: a cylindrical tightening member (32) to be screwed onto a fitting-body section (16); a ferrule (33) for sealing the interval between the inner circumference of the fitting-body section (16) and the outer circumference of a pipe (P) in an airtight manner, by receiving a pressing force in the axial direction from the tightening member (32) screwed in the tightening direction; a cylindrical immobilizing member (66a) for configuring the tightening member (32), and imparting a pressing force by contacting the ferrule (33); a tightening nut (36) for configuring the tightening member (32), having a noncircular engaging part (48) formed on the outer circumference thereof, and imparting a pressing force on the immobilizing member (66a) in the direction of the ferrule (33), by imparting screwing force in the tightening direction; and a locking means (41) for restricting a positional shift of the immobilizing member (66a) in the direction for releasing the pressure on the ferrule (33).
