Abstract:
Provided is a pipe frame strengthening structure capable of increasing the rigidity of a curved section of a pipe frame using a simple structure. This pipe frame strengthening structure is applied to a circular cross-sectioned pipe material (MF) constituting a vehicle body frame (F). A through-pipe (50) radially extending through the pipe material (MF) is provided at a curved section of the pipe material (MF). A through-pipe (50) is provided at the maximum curvature portion (B1) of a curved section (A1) of the pipe material (MF), at which the curvature of the curved section (A1) is maximum. Through-pipes (50) are provided at two locations separated from each other across the maximum curvature portion (B2) of a curved section (A2) of the pipe member (MF), at which the curvature of the curved section (A2) is maximum. A through-pipe (50) is welded to the pipe material (MF) such that the through-pipe (50) is oriented to intersect the axis (C1, C2) of the pipe material (MF).
