Abstract:
Provided is an inspection robot which travels autonomously over a pipe, and detects the risk of corrosion by using a mounted inspection device, such as a neutron moisture meter, to measure moisture that is present in a heat insulating material. The inspection robot comprises: a mainframe (1) which comprises a recessed part (17) which fits to the outer peripheral surface of a pipe (P); a mainframe driving mechanism (a first driving mechanism) (D1) which moves the mainframe forwards and backwards in the axial direction of the pipe; rotating members (32) which are supported so as to be capable of moving forwards and backwards along an arc-shaped trajectory in the recessed part of the mainframe; a rotating member driving mechanism (a second driving mechanism) (D2) which causes the rotating members to move; and an inspection device which is mounted to the rotating members.
