Abstract:
Disclosed are a joining device and joining method for connecting pipes. One aspect of the present invention provides a pipe joining device for connecting pipes, the device comprising: a first joining member having the shape of a cylindrical tube that has a partial opening on one side surface thereof; a fastening part which has an arc shape and is inserted inside the first joining member; and a second joining member having an insertion part having the shape of a cylindrical tube having an internal diameter corresponding to the external diameter of a pipe, wherein the first joining member, the fastening part and the second joining member are inserted on the outside of a pipe, the second joining member is configured such that, in a state in which the pipe is inserted in an opening and the first joining member, located on the outside of the pipe, is inserted in an opening, the insertion part is inserted between the inner circumferential surface of the first joining member and the outer circumferential surface of the pipe, and the fastening part lies between the first joining member and the second joining member and contacts the second joining member so as to apply resistance that resists the separation of the second joining member. An embodiment of the present invention enables tubular components such as pipes to be connected in a replaceable manner, and may provide high connection strength and high watertightness without taking up a lot of space.
