A pipe joint, wherein a pipe to be connected can be connected to the pipe joint by one-touch operation by inserting an end of the pipe into the pipe joint and manually fastening a cap and wherein the pipe does not rotate together when the cap is rotated and screwed. A joint body (8) is set over and screwed, with layers of gaps (dg) maintained in between, onto an inner core (9) having a water passage hole (H9) in the inner periphery thereof and also having O-rings (4) on the outer periphery thereof.  Caps (3), into which diameter-reducing fixing rings (5) are respectively fitted, are temporarily engaged by screw threads with ends of the joint body (8).  A plastic resin pipe (12) is fitted into a gap (dg) so as to cover the inner core (9) from the inside of a cap (3), and the cap (3) is rotated and advanced.  By this, the fixing ring (5) is reduced in diameter to press the outer peripheral surface (12c) of the pipe (12), water-tightly pressing the plastic resin pipe (12) and holding the plastic resin pipe (12) so that the plastic resin pipe (12) does not come off.
