Abstract:
A pipe joint, comprising a socket (1) having therein a valve disc (7), a socket main body (3) having holes (8a, 8b) disposed therein, lock balls (9a, 9b) stored in these holes, and a sleeve (12) pressing the lock balls (9a, 9b) in an inner radial direction at a forward position and releasing these balls at a backward position and a plug (2) having an engaging groove (11) and opening a fluid passage when engaged with the socket (3), wherein the socket holes (8a, 8b) include first and second holes extending in axial direction, the first hole (8a) extends to a tip side more than the second hole (8b), and the valve disc (7) returns to a position to close a fluid passage (6) when the lock ball (9a) is disposed at the foremost side of the first hole (8a).
