Abstract:
In a pipe joint, flanges (2, 2) are arranged on outer peripheries of facing edges (1’, 1’) of two pipes (1, 1) placed on a common axis (c), and a tapered surface (3) along inner peripheral circles of the facing edges (1’, 1’) and a square edge (4) that is in contact with the tapered surface (3) along the inner peripheral circles are formed. The pipe joint has pressure contact means for bringing the tapered surface (3) and the square edge (4) into pressure contact with each other in a circular shape and tightly sealing the facing edges along the circular pressure contact line. The tapered surface (3) or the square edge (4) is formed in a projected or recessed form on either of the facing edges.
