Title:
PIPE JOINT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/143259
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A pipe joint having a simple structure which is connected by a simple interconnection.
A pipe joint having a male pipe joint (12) and a female pipe joint (14). The female pipe joint is provided with an engaging member (26) fitted in an engaging recess (18) in an inserting section (16) of the male pipe joint, which inserting section has been inserted in a receiving section (20) of the female pipe joint, to engage the inserting section (16) with the inside of the receiving section (20). The engaging member (26) has at the front end thereof a fitting projection (30) fitted in the engaging recess (18) of the male pipe joint (12). A peripheral wall of the female pipe joint supports the engaging member (26) such that the engaging member (26) can rock about an intermediate portion (26a) between the front end and the rear end of the engaging member (26). When the inserting section (16) is inserted into the receiving section (20), the rear end of the engaging member (26) moves outward radially to tilt the engaging member (26) in the front-rear direction of the female pipe joint (14). This causes the fitting projection (30) at the front end of the engaging member (26) to be pressed to the inside of the engaging recess (18).
