Abstract:

Provided is a pipe joint with which a pipe structure having excellent strength can be constructed due to the sections near the open ends of split joints not separating from each other such that pipes are held continuously and firmly. The pipe joint comprises at least two mutually orthogonal cylindrical parts and connects a plurality of pipes in a mutually orthogonal manner as a result of the pipes being inserted in the cylindrical parts. The cylindrical parts are formed by combining split joints that divide into a plurality of parts so as to sandwich the pipes. Opposing split joints are fastened to each other by means of screws that penetrate through the split joints and nuts that engage with the screws, and the pipes are thereby held by the split joints. Protrusion parts extend on the outer circumferential surfaces of the cylindrical parts in the longitudinal directions of the pipes inserted in the cylindrical parts.
