Title:
PIPE JOINT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/137027
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a pipe joint, which connects pipes by connecting a pair of male and female joint members, wherein pressure loss is small due to modification of the valve configuration. The pipe joint of an embodiment is a pipe joint of a form in which the cylindrical attaching/detaching section of a male member is inserted in and fitted together with a female member. The male member and the female member are equipped with a valve for holding, by means of the elasticity of a spring, the internal fluid in a leak-proof state when separate. In the process of inserting the cylindrical attaching/detaching section of the male member in the hole of the female member and completing the engagement, the valve of the male member abuts against the female member in a state that prevents leakage of the internal fluid and the valve of the female member abuts against the male member in a state that prevents leakage of the internal fluid. The valve of the male member has a shape such that the inner circumferential surface of the male member serves as a guide when moving in the axial direction.
