Abstract:
Pipe joints used for general pneumatic applications and other fluid applications are generally brass materials. In recent years, a lightweight, low-cost aluminium material pipe joint has been sought. However, galling and seizing can easily occur in an aluminium material pipe joint when fastening a male screw used for fastening to an external device. The present invention provides a low-cost pipe joint in which galling and seizing do not occur when fastening the male screw of the aluminium material pipe joint to a female screw formed in an external device. The pipe joint is characterized in that the male screw portion is an aluminium material having a tensile strength of at least 375 (N/mm2).
