Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pipe press-connecting apparatus. The pipe press-connecting apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a fixing block including a first sliding surface having a recessed shape in an inner side thereof; a pair of pivot blocks that pivot about hinge pins installed at both left and right ends of the fixing block, and including a second sliding surface formed in a rounded shape on inner sides thereof; a pair of first insert guides installed on the inner surface of the fixing block, and having the rear surfaces thereof pressed against and sliding on the first sliding surface; a pair of second insert guides installed on inner sides of the pivot blocks, and having the rear surfaces thereof formed rounded so as to be pressed against and slide on the second sliding surface; and a plurality of inserts installed having front surfaces thereof contacting an outer surface of a pipe, and rear surfaces thereof pressed against and sliding on front surfaces of the first insert guides and second insert guides. According to the pipe press-connecting apparatus disclosed by the present invention, pivot blocks can be connected to both left and right ends of a fixing block in order to employ the lever principle when pressing a pipe so as to enable a large pressing force to be exerted using a small amount of force. Also, during pivoting of the pivot block, an insert slides on first and second insert guides to surround the entire perimeter of a pipe and apply uniform pressure thereto, thus enabling the pipe to be pressed while retaining its circular cross-sectional shape.
