Abstract:
Provided is a pipe protection layer capable of further improving protection of a pipe, which is insufficient with a self-fusion tape alone. The present invention relates to a pipe protection layer (1) for protecting a pipe (P), the layer comprising a first protection layer (10) formed of a self-fusing tape wound around the pipe (P) so as to cover at least a part of an outer surface of the pipe (P), and a second protection layer (20) made of a sheet of a silicone-based elastomer covering the entire outer surface of the first protective layer (10) with higher strength than the first protective layer (10), and the present invention also relates to a method for producing the pipe protection layer.
