Abstract:
The invention relates to connections for major pipelines. A pipeline connection assembly comprises: a housing with a lower bearing assembly and three branches of the same diameter D, one of which is coaxial with the main pipeline, while the other two branches are arranged at an angle to one another, symmetrically about the axis of the main pipeline; and a cover with an upper bearing assembly. Enclosed between the housing and the cover is a chamber, which is formed by two outlets having a diameter D and a bend radius R, determined by the requirements with respect to the passage of inline cleaning and inspection pigs, and a ball, in which is disposed a swivel that turns in the above-mentioned bearings, the flow passage of which is likewise comprised of an outlet having a diameter D and a bend radius R and of flow channels for the uninterrupted switching of the pipelines. The axes of the outlets are a continuation of the axes of the branches. The axis of rotation of the swivel is perpendicular to the plane in which the branches are situated and intersects the axis of the main pipeline. The pipelines are switched by deployment of the swivel with the aid of an actuator.
