Abstract:
An A-type conversion circuit compares an input voltage with a plurality of threshold voltages, determines whether the input voltage belongs to any of a plurality of segments, and generates a first voltage and second voltage which sandwich the segment to which the input voltage belongs. The A-type conversion circuit amplifies the difference between the first voltage and input voltage using a predetermined common voltage as a reference and thereby generates a third voltage. Further, the A-type conversion circuit amplifies the difference between the second voltage and input voltage using the common voltage as a reference and thereby generates a fourth voltage. A B-type conversion circuit divides the range between the third voltage and fourth voltage into a plurality of segments and determines whether the common voltage belongs to any of those plurality of segments. Then, the B-type conversion circuit generates a fifth voltage and sixth voltage which sandwich the segment to which the common voltage belongs. The B-type conversion circuit amplifies the difference between the fifth voltage and the common voltage using the common voltage as a reference to thereby generate a seventh voltage (third voltage of the next stage), and amplifies the difference between the sixth voltage and the common voltage using the common voltage as a reference to thereby generate an eight voltage.
