Abstract:
The invention discloses a piston assembly with tongue-like flat seals. The piston head and the piston skirt are manufactured separately, there are provided many groups of assembled flat seals (1, 2) between the head and the skirt, each group of flat seal is composed of four 'A' tongue-like pieces (1a, 2a) and four 'D' tongue-like pieces (1d, 2d), cavities (1c, 2c) are provided in the center of each group, a clockwork spring is provided in the cavities; the head and the skirt are joined together by connections (6, 7). The invention overcomes the disadvantages of present piston rings, such as leakage and poor durability of piston.
