In order to provide a piston for auxiliary chamber-type gas engines and an auxiliary chamber-type gas engine that take into consideration the shape of a piston head so as to eliminate the range in which flame propagation by torch jet is delayed, an auxiliary chamber-type gas engine is provided whereby a torch jet, formed by combusting auxiliary chamber fuel in an auxiliary combustion chamber, is injected into a main combustion chamber via a plurality of injection holes. Also provided is a piston for auxiliary chamber-type gas engines, having a piston head that, together with a cylinder head and a cylinder liner, restrict the main combustion chamber. The piston head comprises a land section formed such that a first area positioned between the axial directions of adjacent injection holes is higher than a second area positioned above the axial directions. The land section is formed upon a cavity provided in the piston head. In addition, a plurality of land sections are provided corresponding to the plurality of injection holes and the plurality of land sections are provided offset in the same direction from the center between the axial directions of adjacent injection holes.
