Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a piston ring having a gastight special joint, and used in a large, two-stroke diesel engine, wherein, in order to minimize interference between the end portion of the joint and the scavenger ports and prevent the engine from stopping, at least one slit is formed in a protruding portion that protrudes in the circumferential direction and forms the special joint.
