Abstract:
The invention relates to a piston type internal-combustion engine with second expanding operation. It belongs to the field of combustion engine. The invention aims to provide a piston type internal-combustion engine with second expanding operation, which can increase heat efficiency and save energy source due to the use of exhaust energy. The engine includes an engine body, air cylinders, crank-connecting rod mechanisms, inlet pipes and outlet pipes. A second expansion cylinder is provided in the body. The connecting rod of the second expansion cylinder has a common crankshaft with the connecting rods of said air cylinders. The outlet pipe of each air cylinder communicates with an inlet pipe of the second expansion cylinder. The volume of the second expansion cylinder is 1.1 to 3.5 times of the total volumes of the air cylinders. The engine can be used as the power unit of automobiles, tractors and ships and so on.
