Abstract:
Provided are: a pitch inhibitor which stabilizes at a high level, and which is capable of inhibiting pitch trouble; a pitch inhibition method; and a paper production method. The pitch inhibitor includes a phenolic resin in which the percentage of methylene group ortho-ortho bonds in phenolic hydroxyl groups is at least 40%.
