Abstract:
A pivot bearing unit (10) for HDD actuators, wherein an axial-direction inside surface (22a) of a shield cap (22) is formed in a stepped shape in a manner such that an axial-direction gap (a1) between the same and a sealing member (14e) of one bearing (14) is narrower than an axial-direction gap (a2) between the same and a bearing cup (14b). As a result, it is possible to reduce the amount of air flowing through the interior of the bearing, and reduce the out-particle.
