Abstract:
Provided is a pixel circuit provided with: a light emitting element (EL); a drive transistor (T2) which has a first terminal connected to the anode of the light emitting element (EL); a sampling transistor (T3) which has a second terminal connected to the gate of the drive transistor (T2) and samples a signal voltage which is written to the drive transistor (T2); a light emission control transistor (T1) which has a first terminal connected to a second terminal of the drive transistor (T2) and a second terminal connected to a power supply line for supplying a power supply voltage; and a reset transistor (T4) which resets the anode of the light emitting element (EL) to a prescribed potential at a prescribed timing. The light emission control transistor (T1) is switched on and the power supply voltage is written to the second terminal of the drive transistor (T2) before the signal voltage switches from a prior frame video signal to a threshold value correction reference potential of the drive transistor (T2).
