Abstract:
Provided is a pixel circuit that can stably hold a voltage with high precision between an n-channel drive transistor gate and source for controlling the light-emission current of an organic EL device, and that can control light emission with high precision. A pixel circuit (2) comprises : a light-emitting element (3); an n-channel drive transistor (T1) for controlling the light-emission current that flows to the light-emitting element (3) in accordance with a light-emission control voltage between the gate and the source, the source being connected to the anode of the light-emitting element (3) and the gate being connected to the pixel node (Np); a transfer transistor (T2) having a gate connected to a scan signal line (GL), the transfer transistor (T2) being interposed between a data signal line (SL) and the pixel node (Np); a control transistor (T3) for selectively short-circuiting between the source and drain of the drive transistor (T1), the control transistor (T3) being interposed between the source and drain of the drive transistor (T1), having a gate connected to the scan signal line (GL), and being set in an ON state simultaneously with the transfer transistor (T2); and a capacitance element (C1) for holding the light-emission control voltage, the capacitance element (C1) being interposed between the gate and source of the drive transistor (T1).
