Abstract:
A pixel unit (1PU, 1FPU, 1FKPU, 1T12PU, 2T12PU), a pixel array (122PAU, 222PAU), a multimedia device and a manufacturing method thereof. The pixel unit (1PU, 1FPU, 1FKPU, 1T12PU, 2T12PU) comprises a display medium module (1U, 1T12U, 2T12U, 122U, 212U, 234U) and an active switch component (116). The display medium module (1U, 1T12U, 2T12U, 122U, 212U, 234U) comprises at least one pair of electrodes. The electrode pair comprises: a first electrode (101PE, 115PE), a second electrode (102R, 115RE, 235RE, 245REE), and a display medium (105). The first electrode (101PE, 115PE) and the second electrode (102RE, 115RE, 235RE, 245RE) are set apart from each other. The display medium (105, 115, 235, 245) is disposed between the first electrode (101PE, 115PE) and the second electrode (102RE, 115RE, 235RE, 245RE). The active switch component (116) is electrically connected to the first electrode (101PE, 115PE), to enable the first electrode (101PE, 115PE)) and the second electrode (102RE, 115RE, 235RE, 245RE) to change a state of the display medium (105, 115, 235, 245). The active switch component (116) comprises an active switch component substrate part (166S, 151S) and a transistor part (166T, 151T). The transistor part (166T, 151T) is directly formed on the active switch component substrate part (166S, 151S). As a result, the active switch component (116) can be manufactured independently using process parameters that are not limited by the display medium module (1U, 1T12U, 2T12U, 122U, 212U, 234U).
