PIZZA PACKAGE MADE OF SCRAP PAPER

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a pizza package made of scrap paper, and more particularly to, a pizza package made of gathered and recycled scrap paper, to thereby provide easiness and simplification of production and firmness of pizza packages as well as cost saving.

Background Art

Pizza is one of the most favorite foods of moderner, in particular, young generation or children, and is conveniently delivered to homes or offices by orders. Thus, in the case of a simple family or celebration party, pizza becomes a remarkable food which is frequently ordered so as to be enjoyed together with several persons.

Pizza packages are used in order to deliver pizza while maintaining the shape and warmth of pizza on delivery. One of examples of the conventional pizza packages is shown in FIG. 1. Referring to FIG.1, a pizza package includes a bottomplate 10 having left and right side plates 11 and 11a, edge plates 12, 12a, 12b, and 12c, front and rear plates 13", 13a, 13b, and 13c, and a front finish plate 14 which overlaps inwards and outwards from the front plates 13 and 13a, so as to be erected vertically

in the form of an octagon, and a cover plate 20 which is extended froma connectionplate 15 formed in the rearportion of the bottom plate 10, and has insertionplates 21, 21a, and 21bwhich can cover the upper portion of the erected bottom plate 10. Meanwhile, when a conventional pizza package is assembled in order to put pizza thereinto, left and right side plates 11 and 11a, edge plates 12, 12a, 12b, and 12c, front and rear plates 13, 13a, 13b, and 13c, all of which are formed around the bottom plate 10, are erected vertically along the bending lines such as the thin solid lines in FIG. 1 in a wall shape. Then, the front finish plate 14 is bent into a half so that the front plates 13 and 13a are maintained at a vertically erected shape, and the wing-βhaped rear plates 13b and 13c formed in the rear portion of the bottom plate 10 are fitted into lateral fitting grooves 16 and 16a each other.

As describedabove, the rearplates 13b and 13c are assembled with the fitting grooves 16 and 16a when the pizza package is assembled. Also, since the wing-shaped rear plates 13b and 13c are extended to the edge plates 12b and 12c, it is difficult to assemble the rear plates 13b and 13c. Also, since the bottom surface of the rear plates 13b and 13c are simplyput on the bottom plate 10, the strength of the rear plates 13b and 13c is weak.

Thus, a pizza package having a structure of reinforcing a feeble portion of the rear plates 13b and 13c is provided as shown

in FIG. 2 (see Korean Utility Model Registration No. 034Q869) . Referring to FIG. 2, the rear plates 13b and 13c are not attached to the connection plate 15 but are supported by the connection plate 15, differently from the FIG. 1 pizza package structure where the rear plates 13b and 13c are attached to the connection plate 15.

The conventional pizza package is fabricated using corrugated cardboards. Accordingly, the production cost is expansive and the structure thereof is complicated to thereby cause difficulty in fabrication. Also, since pizza packages are scrapped after use, much expenses are burdened in the countries where most of raw materials for pulp are imported.

Disclosure of the Invention To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a pizza package which recycles scrap paper to save resources, simplifies the structure of the pizza package as well as provides effects of firmness and thermal insulation, and simplifies fabrication to enable mass-production and lower a production cost.

To accomplish the above object of the present invention, according to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a pizza package made of scrap paper comprising: a main body formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, the body sheet

including body edge walls of a predetermined height formed by- bending the edges of themainbody sheet upwards by a predetermined width and fitting protrusions formed at predetermined positions around the body edge walls, in which the body sheet is formed by compressing pulp which is obtained by smashing s'crap paper and hygienically processing the smashed paper with no harm to the human body; and a cover formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, the cover sheet including cover edge walls of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the sheet downwards by a predetermined width and fitting holes formed at predeterminedpositions aroundthe cover edge walls, in order that the cover edge walls accommodate the body edge walls, and the fitting protrusions formed in the body edge walls are fitted into the fitting holes formed in the cover edge walls, in which the cover sheet is formed by compressing pulp which is obtained in the same manner as that of the main body.

The fitting protrusions formed in the edge walls of the main body are formed in the upper portion of the edge walls of the main body, and ' the fitting holes are formed in the bent portions of the cover.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is also provided a pizza package made of scrap paper comprising: a main body formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, the body sheet including body edge walls of a predetermined height

formed by bending the edges of the main body sheet upwards by a predetermined width and unevenness portions formed at predetermined intervals and having predetermined width, in the upper portion of the bent portion of the main body, in which the body sheet is formed by compressing pulp which is obtained by smashing scrap paper and hygienically processing the smashed paper with no harm to the human body; and a cover formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, the cover sheet including cover edge walls of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the sheet downwards by a predetermined width, in order that the cover edge walls accommodate the body edge walls.

The cover is mutually connected with one side of the main body so that the cover is not separated from the main body in the case of opening and closing the cover with respect to the main body. An extension portion is formed in one side of one of the edge walls of the main body and the cover, to make it easy to open and close the cover with respect to the main body. A number of support protrusions are formed at certain intervals on the bottom surface of the main body in order to support the bottom portion of pizza. Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention Hereinbelow, a pizza package according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

A method of fabricating a pizza package according to the present invention will follow. First, foreign matters included in gathered scrap paper are removed and then the scrap paper from which foreign matters have been removed is treated with chemicals with no harm to the human body to then be smashed. The smashed scrap paper is put into a stirrer filled with water and stirred and diluted. Then, the diluted scrap paper is put into a former and formed into a vessel shape. Subsequently, hot press processing steps are performed three times and then the pressed product is sterilized using an ozone facility and then sterilized product is dried. As pulp used in the present invention, only pulp produced with the

above-described scrap paper processing method can be used, but recycled pulp and natural pulp can be mixed for esthetic appreciation of products.

A pizza package which is fabricated by the above-described pizza package fabricationmethod will be describedwith reference to the accompanying drawings.

The pizza package according to the present invention is divided into two pizza packages of an identical category.

A pizza package according to a first embodiment of a first aspect of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGs. 3 and 4.

First, scrap paper is smashed and hygienically treated with no harm to the human body. The pulp is compressed to make a sheet of a predetermined thickness. Referring to FIGs. 3 and 4, a main body 30 is formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, the body sheet including body edge walls 32 of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the main body sheet upwards by a predetermined width and fitting protrusions 33 formed at predetermined positions around the body edge walls 32. As described above, the body edge walls 32 in the main body 30 is made in a former using the above-described pizza package fabrication method, and the height of the body edge walls 32 can be designed at a height higher than thickness of pizza so that pizza can be completely accommodated therein. Also, the fitting

protrusions 33 formed in predetermined positions of the body edge walls 32 are formed in the former.

Also, a pizza package according to a second embodiment of the first aspect of the present invention is shown in FIGs. 5 and 6. Referring to FIGs. 5 and 6, support protrusions 34 supporting bottom of pizza are formed on the bottom surface 31 of the main body 30. The support protrusions 34 are formed in the former using the above-described pizza package fabrication method, like the body edge walls 32. The height of the support protrusions 34 is good unless the bottom surface of pizza contacts the bottom surface 31 of the main body 30. Here, the other configuration of the pizza package according to the second embodiment of the first aspect of the present invention is same as that of the first embodiment of the first aspect of the present invention. Also, a cover 35 accommodating and covering the body edge walls 32 in the main body 30 is formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, in which the cover sheet is formed by compressing pulp which is obtained in the same manner as that of the main body 30. The cover sheet includes cover edge walls 36 of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the sheet downwards by a predetermined width and fitting holes 37 formed at predetermined positions around the cover edge walls 36, in order that the cover edge walls 36 accommodate the body edge walls 32, and the fitting protrusions 33 formed in the body edge walls

32 are fitted into the fitting holes 37 formed in the cover edge walls 36.

The fitting holes 37 formed in the cover edge walls 36 in the cover 35 are formed in positions corresponding to those of the fitting protrusions 33 when the cover 35 is coupled with the main body 30. Most preferably, the fitting protrusions 33 formed in the main body 30 are formed in the upper portions of the body edge walls 32 of the main body 30 and the fitting holes 37 formed in the cover 35 are formed in the edge portions of the cover edge walls 36 of the cover 35. Also, the fitting holes 37 are formed larger or equal to the fitting protrusions 33 in which the corresponding portions of the cover edge walls 36 in the cover 35 are cut.

When pizza is delivered in the case of the pizza package according to the first and second embodiment of the present invention, the corresponding pizza is accommodated in the inner portion of the main body 30, and then the cover 35 is closed. Accordingly, the fitting protrusions 33 are fitted into the fitting holes 37, to thus accomplish a firm coupling between the main body 30 and the cover 35. Thus, since a firm coupling force is maintainedbetween themain body 30 and the cover 35 on delivery, the cover 35 is not automatically opened during moving or delivering. Also, the bottom surface of pizza does not contact the bottom surface of the main body 30 by means of the fitting

protrusions 34 formed on the bottom surface of the main body 30. Meanwhile, a pizza package according to a first embodiment of a second aspect of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGs. 7 and 8. First, scrap paper is smashed and hygienically treated with no harm to the human body. The pulp is compressed to make a sheet of a predetermined thickness. Referring to FIGs. 7 and 7, a main body 40 is formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness, the body sheet including body edge walls 42 of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the main body sheet upwards by a predetermined width and unevenness portions formed in the upper portions of the body edge walls 42 at predetermined intervals and with predetermined width W, and a cover 45 formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness which is obtained by compressing pulp made by the same method as that of the main body 40, the cover sheet including cover edge walls 46 of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the sheet downwards by a predetermined width, in order that the cover edge walls 46 accommodate the body edge walls 42. The cover 45 is mutually connected with one side of the main body 40 so that the cover 45 is not separated from the main body 40 in the case of opening and closing the cover 45 with respect to the main body 40. An extension portion 43 or 47 is formed in one side of each one of the edge walls of the main body 40 and

the cover 45, to make it easy to open and close the cover 45 with respect to the main body 40.

The reason why unevenness portions are formed in the upper portion of the body edge walls 42 of the main body 40 at certain intervals and with predetermined width W is to render firmness of the body edge walls 42. As described above, the body edge walls 42 in themain body 40 is made in a former using the above-described pizza package fabrication method, and the height of the body edge walls 42 canbe designed at a height higher than thickness of pizza so that pizza can be completely accommodated therein.

Also, the cover 45 accommodating and covering the body edge walls 42 in the main body 40 is formed of a sheet having a predetermined thickness. The cover sheet includes cover edge walls 46 of a predetermined height formed by bending the edges of the sheet which is obtained in the same manner as that of the main body 40 downwards by a predetermined width. Also, the cover edge walls 46 accommodate the body edge walls 42 and also, the cover edge walls 46 formed in the cover 45 are formed in the former like the body edge walls 42 formed in the main body 40, using the above-described pizza package fabrication method.

The reason why extension portions 43 and 47 are formed in either side of the body and cover edge walls 42 and 46 in the main body 40 and the cover 45, respectively is to make the cover 45 easily opened and closed with respect to the main body 40.

Also, a pizza package according to a second embodiment of the second aspect of the present invention is shown in FIGs. 9 and 10. Referring to FIGs. 9 and 10, support protrusions 44 supporting bottom of pizza are formed on the bottom surface 41 of the main body 40. The support protrusions 44 are formed in the former usingthe above-describedpizzapackage fabricationmethod, like the body edge walls 42. The height of the support protrusions 44 is good unless the bottom surface of pizza contacts the bottom surface 41 of the main body 40. Here, the other configuration of the pizza package according to the second embodiment of the second aspect of the present invention is same as that of the first embodiment of the second aspect of the present invention. The outer shape of the pizza package which has been described according to the present invention can be of one of circular, rectangular, hexagonal, octagonal, and the other polygonal shapes.

As described above, the present invention has been described with respect to particularly preferred embodiments. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and it is possible for one who has an ordinary skill in the art to make various modifications and variations, without departing off the spirit of the present invention. Thus, the protective scope of the present invention is not defined within the detailed description thereof but is defined by the claims to be described later and the

technical spirit of the present invention.

Industrial Applicability

As described above, the present invention provides a pizza package which recycles scrap paper to save resources, simplifies the structure of the pizza package as well as provides effects of firmness and thermal insulation, and simplifies fabrication to enable mass-production and lower a production cost.
