An objective of the present invention is, when displaying in a display screen a plurality of scaling images which are displayed on the basis of a prescribed source image, to create and display each scaling image more rapidly than before. To this end, desired regions (vertical-horizontal target regions (532, 533)) of a source image (690) are designated, and desired images (vertical-horizontal target images (700, 710)) including the entirety of the designated desired regions are read out from the source image and stored separately from the source image (690). A scaling rate (P) with respect to the source image (690) is acquired, and a scaled source image (620) wherein the source image (690) is scaled in both the longitudinal direction and the latitudinal direction by the scaling rate (P) is created and displayed in a display screen (53). Scaled desired images (scaled vertical-horizontal target images (621, 622)) wherein only the longitudinal direction of the separately stored desired images are scaled by the scaling rate (P) are created and displayed in the vertical-horizontal target regions (532, 533) overlapping the scaled source image (620).
