Abstract:
Provided is a planar array antenna in which a plurality of antenna units are one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally arranged, wherein each of the antenna units 51 is provided with a strip conductor 11 extending in a first direction, a radiation conductor 12 to which power is fed from the strip conductor in a contact or noncontact manner, at least one parasitic radiation conductor 13A, 13B disposed adjacent to at least one of a pair of sides of the radiation conductor in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a ground conductor 14 disposed below the radiation conductor and the at least one parasitic radiation conductor in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions, and a dielectric 40 located at least between the ground conductor, and the radiation conductor and the at least one parasitic radiation conductor, the relative dielectric constant of the dielectric is higher than 1.15, and when the wavelength within the dielectric at the center frequency of a carrier wave is denoted by λd, a distance W2 between two sides located outermost in the second direction among a pair of sides of the radiation conductor and a pair of side of the at least one parasitic radiation conductor in the second direction satisfies W2<2λd.
