Abstract:
Provided is a planar heat pipe such that distortion of a space having a wick structure and warping of the planar heat pipe in general are reduced. The planar heat pipe (1) comprises: a container (2) wherein two opposing plate-like bodies (3 and 4) form at a center section a convex portion (11) having a cavity portion (5); and hydraulic fluid with which the cavity portion is filled. The cavity portion is provided with a wick structure (6), a peripheral portion (7) outside the convex portion is sealed by thermal welding (8), and a groove (21: 21' and 21'') is formed around the convex portion and between the convex portion and the welded portion formed by the thermal welding.
