Abstract:
A planar intersection and a passing method therefor, applied to the technical field of road transport facilities. The planar intersection is an intersection of a first road (100) and a second road (200); the first road (100) and the second road (200) are two-way roads; the intersection comprises a straight-going area (110), a first rightward turning area (120), a second rightward turning area (210), a first U-turn area (130), and a second U-turn area (220); the intersection does not comprise a leftward turning area; a running method of vehicles on the first road (100) at the intersection comprises: straight running to run across the intersection, rightward turning to enter the second road (200) and making a U-turn; a running method of vehicles on the second road (200) at the intersection comprises: rightward turning to enter the first road (100) and making a U-turn. According to the planar intersection and the passing method therefor, the running conflict points of the vehicles at the conventional intersection are avoided, so that traffic lights are cancelled, a traffic jam at the intersection is effectively prevented, and the traffic capacity of the planar intersection is improved.
