Abstract:
A planar lighting device according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with a light-guiding plate, an attenuation part, and a plurality of light sources. The light-guiding plate has: an emission surface that is a principal surface from which light is emitted; and a light entry side surface which is a side surface intersecting with the emission surface and upon which light is incident. The attenuation part attenuates the light incident on the light entry side surface. The plurality of light sources are arranged side by side at predetermined intervals opposite to the light entry side surface of the light-guiding plate, and an interval close to the attenuation part is smaller than an interval far from the attenuation part.
