Abstract:
Provided are a planetary deceleration device in which sounds of meshing between gears are reduced, and an actuator for opening and closing a vehicle door in which the occurrence of actuating sounds are minimized by the use of said planetary deceleration device. A planetary deceleration device 4 comprises: a sun gear 5 provided with external teeth 51 and linked to an input shaft 36 to which motive power is inputted; an internally toothed gear 6 provided with internal teeth 63, disposed on the same axis as the sun gear 5, and disposed on the radially outer side of the sun gear 5; belt gears 7 that have elasticity and that mesh with both the external teeth 51 and the internal teeth 63; and a planet carrier 8 having, in the axial direction, a carrier plate 81 provided on one axial-direction side of the belt gears 7 and autorotating shafts 82 that protrude in the axial direction from the carrier plate 81 and rotatably support the belt gears 7.
