Abstract:
Provided are: a plant-based soft capsule composition entailing improved productivity and degree of disintegration by means of a film which is thin and outstandingly resilient and adhesive, wherein, with respect to 35.3 parts by weight of starch plus carrageenan, the weight ratio of starch to carrageenan is set to 7 parts of starch to 3 parts of carageenan, and, in the 35.3 parts by weight of starch and carrageenan, the weight ratio of starches is set to 17.65 parts by weight of corn starch, 3.53 parts by weight of tapioca starch and 3.53 parts by weight of potato starch while the weight ratio of carrageenans is set to 7.592 parts by weight of iota, 2.118 parts by weight of kappa, 0.8 parts by weight of sodium bicarbonate, 0.04 parts by weight of Arabia gum and 0.04 parts by weight of levan, and then the 35.3 parts by weight of starch plus carrageenan is formulated with 17.7 parts by weight of glycerol and 46 parts by weight of purified water; and a production method for the composition.
