Abstract:
Provided are a plant disease controlling agent, which is commonly applicable to various crops and plant diseases and ensures safety in the whole environment over a prolonged period of time, and a method for controlling plant diseases using the same.
The plant disease controlling agent is characterized by comprising magnesium oxide that is obtained by baking magnesium hydroxide at 400-1000oC. The method for controlling plant diseases is characterized by using the plant disease controlling agent. It is preferred that the aforesaid method comprises mixing the plant disease controlling agent with the soil in a plow layer and soil for raising seedlings, applying an aqueous suspension of the plant disease controlling agent to foliage, or immersing plant roots in the plant disease controlling agent and irrigating plant feet therewith.
