Abstract:
Deflection and reduced concentration of a plasma arc due to magnetic arc blow are limited by disposing a cover member, which is made of a magnetic substance and has an opening through which the plasma arc passes, on a plasma torch (3) for emitting a plasma arc to cut a material to be cut (W), the cover member being disposed so as to cover a nozzle (14) in the direction in which the plasma arc is emitted from the nozzle (14).
