Abstract:
A plasma display apparatus for high−definition display and its driving method. An address electrode (13) comprises a conductive section (13E) and a discharge section (13H). The conductive section (13E) is an electrode main body on which a drive voltage is impressed and formed in the region immediately under a partition wall (15). The discharging section (13H) is a section for discharge with a counter retainer electrode (17) according to a voltage to be impressed on the conductive section (13E) and is so formed as to be alternately derived from both sides of the conductive section (13E) to face each of the retainer electrodes (17). An address electrode (13) is provided on every other partition wall (15), where two light emitting unit regions (SP), as viewed horizontally, per the address electrode (13) are independently controlled.
