Abstract:
There is described a PDP apparatus wherein a PDP apparatus driving circuit, which uses
a new driving mode in which both the address-driving and the sustain-driving are
executed at the same time, can be configured as an IC. The plasma display apparatus comprises
a plasma display panel of three-electrode AC surface discharge system; a first
driver circuit that drives a plurality of first electrodes; a three-electrode driver
circuit; and a control circuit that controls the driver circuits. The control
circuit performs an address driving operation, while sequentially applying
scan pulses to the plurality of first electrodes and to a second electrode by turns,
and further executes both the address-driving operation and the sustain-driving operation
at the same time for at least a part of the display lines.
