Abstract:
A plasma emitting yarn is produced by forming a phosphor layer on an apertured
phosphor layer support, working the configuration of the phosphor layer support
into a configuration capable of protecting of the phosphor layer and inserting
the phosphor layer support in a tubule to thereby obtain a plasma emitting yarn.
As at the time of inserting of the phosphor layer support in the tubule any contact
of the phosphor layer with the inside wall of the tubule can be avoided, there can
be prevented chipping or peeling of the phosphor layer or cracking within the
phosphor layer. Therefore, yield enhancement can be achieved in the production
of multiple plasma emitting yarns.
