Abstract:
Disclosed is a plasma lamp capable of preventing a local overload and improving light extraction efficiency. A plasma lamp according to the present invention comprises: a glass tube in which a fluorescent substance is coated on an internal circumferential surface thereof and an inert gas and a metal vapor are mixed and charged therein; and a hollow-type electrode of which one end is combined with the glass tube and the other end is sealed, wherein the glass tube has a shape with a wide edge, and an outer circumferential surface of the one end of the hollow-type electrode is welded with an internal circumferential surface of the wide edge part of the glass tube by a glass frit. In this situation, the hollow-type electrode is preferably formed with a constant thickness in a longitudinal direction.
