Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a plasma sterilization device 10 that is for sterilizing a surface TS of an object, and that comprises a dielectric barrier electric discharge unit 14 which can generate plasma and which is provided in an opening portion 11a facing the surface of the object and delimited by a bottom portion 12 and a side wall portion 13 surrounding the periphery of the bottom portion 12. By applying an AC voltage or a pulsed voltage to the dielectric barrier electric discharge unit to generate plasma PL, ozone and induced flow are generated, so that the concentration of ozone in a space formed by the opening portion and the surface of the object is increased, and convection AF is generated in the space due to the induced flow, whereby ozone can be caused to act on the surface of the object.
