Abstract:
Provided is a plastic bottle that, using a completely different approach than the conventional art, ensures a strength suitable for usability and achieves weight reduction. A plastic bottle (1) has provided to the bottle circumferential surface a block pattern (300) formed by combining in the vertical and horizontal directions a plurality of types of concave blocks, i.e., a base block (310), a vertically long block (320), and a horizontally long block (330). Horizontally long blocks (330a, 330b) which are in a mutually adjacent relationship in the vertical direction are disposed so as to be shifted with respect to each other in the horizontal direction, and vertically long blocks (320a, 320b) which are in a mutually adjacent relationship in the horizontal direction are disposed so as to be shifted with respect to each other in the vertical direction.
